Does cutting your hair stimulate its growth?

I am sure that I learnt in Biology at school that cutting your hair does not make it grow or make it more lush etc but my husband prefers to take the word of someone within our circle that this is not so, I of course prefer the scientific route so am I wrong?

Does cutting your hair stimulate its growth?

I am a biologist, and No it does not stimulate hair growth. It's an old tale. Good luck.

Does cutting your hair stimulate its growth?

Actually its good to cut your hair because it gets rid of the dead-ends that can cause your hair to be very thick and tangly!

Does cutting your hair stimulate its growth?

Healthy hair grows faster. Dry, split, color or chemically damaged hair does not as fast. By keeping the damaged ends trimmed, it promotes healthier hair, therefore allowing it to grow. Doesn't that make perfect, scientific sense?

Does cutting your hair stimulate its growth?

it does

ur not wrong, ur juss "scientific"

Does cutting your hair stimulate its growth?

it doesn't make it grow faster, it keeps your hair healthy. me, i have been growin' my hair 4 a few years and a little trim keeps it maintained and heathy.

Does cutting your hair stimulate its growth?

no, not at all, as these are dead tissues after its eruption from scalp and in no way helps in stimulating its growth..

Does cutting your hair stimulate its growth?

the healthier you hair is, the faster it will grow, the more often you get it trimmed, the healthier it is.

Does cutting your hair stimulate its growth?

No - your hair does not grow faster, but it does get rid of dead ends/split ends (w.e) therefore your hair looks better.

Does cutting your hair stimulate its growth?

get your hair shocked if you want it to grow

Does cutting your hair stimulate its growth?

No, but your hair can look thicker when you just cut it, because the thin ends are cut off then.
